Now that's something to be Laredo Proud about !

HEB continues to do good work throughout the Lone Star state

The examinier.com out of Houston, has published a nice little article inviting the public to their own version of HEB"s Feast of Sharing this coming Sunday December 12th. Giving credit where credit is due, the examiner.com goes on to explain that this, now statewide, holiday feast had it's humble origins in Laredo.

This Sunday, December 12th, The 5th Annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing will be at George R. Brown Convention Center downtown. This event includes a delicious free meal and festive entertainment from 1-4p.m. “Feast of Sharing began more than twenty-two years ago in Laredo, and has grown to be a holiday tradition in thirty-one locations throughout Texas and Mexico,” said Winell Herron, group vice president of public affairs and diversity for H-E-B. “Houston’s Feast of Sharing supports H-E-B’s continuous effort to serve our communities and share a spirit of camaraderie during the holiday season.
Refreshing to hear a good news story that has such an obvious Laredo connection. Let's see 22 years ago, that means this tradition started right here waaaaay back in 1988. I'm glad I passed math.
