Is No Labels movement the same as a Generic Movement
The recent media attention on the bi-partisan, or more correctly, non-partisan gathering of political players at Columbia University makes me wonder whether this is just a generic movement. I mean if it has No Labels, then how do we know where its purpose in the political spectrum falls?
Afterall, if what they desire to bring about is forward movement, then that should be it's designation. But, then again it would be to similar to MoveOn.org or to MSNBC's most recent slogan "lean forward". Even the T-shrts being sold by No Labels are adorned with an emblem and the words not left, not right, forward. So, it does appear that there is more of a forward-moving identity to the group rather than simply a No Label, no-name, generic one.
