Recently, I had a post about how oddly-named occupations are either appearing or re-appearing on the job landscape. In the case of Starbucks, If you're going to charge someone $5 for a cup of coffee, you have to call the person serving you a "barrista" instead of a plain server. I also mentioned how the HEB now has a "wine steward". It was brought to my attention that these occupation titles have been around for a while.
Well, I don't think that is the case for this next one. While listening to San Antonio's KTSA radio (again), they played a commercial for Texas De Brazil which I belive is a Brazilian Steakhouse. One of the main selling points about this place is that if, and when you order some wine, a trained, acrobatic "Wine Angel" retrieves your wine right in front (above) of your eyes. The intrigue (supposedly) is that the vertical wine rack is a few stories high and the "Wine Angel" prances high above your head, suspended by some steel cable, until she finds your particular bottle. Oh yes, they do run some specials : dinner for two for only $74? Hey you gotta pay for such an intriguing name.
