Arctic blast due to hit South Texas early next week

Could an arctic blast eat the Valley's lunch next week?

Near the end of tonight's weather forecast, Heatwave Behrler mentioned briefly that his computer models are "insisting that temperatures will drop next week".  That was about the extent of his commentary in that respect as he failed to elaborate. In contrast, I had watched San Antonio's KSAT weatherman Steve Brown just minutes before predict a week-long arctic cold spell starting this coming Monday. I guess, we're better off in listening to Steve Brown in this case and make any preparations necessary. As far as the San Antonio area is concerned, Brown predicted that during next week, temperatures in the hill country may drop to as low as the "low teens". I guess that means about 14 degrees. San Antonio itself should brace for the low 20s according to the same. It's looking like the winter of 2011 will be a cold one.
