Once in a while, especially when it's nice enough to drive with my windows down, I'll find myself using hand signals (in addition to my blinkers) when making a turn. Actually, it's usually a left turn. I realize that not only do most people not do that anymore, but many probably don't know what hand signals mean. One time, I purposely made a left turn while signalling only with my hand. Sure enough, I got some strange looks and even a rather subdued honk. For safety's sake, I think I'll stick to using my blinkers and the occasional hand signal as a backup. Laredo Proud!
