Behold, Laredotejas' cutting edge "document analyzer" |
In his article appearing today in the Laredo Business Journal, local marketing strategist AB Barrera emphasizes the importance of consistent messaging. To Barrera's credit, it appears that he certainly believes in the axiom of practicing what you preach. His current article is nothing if not consistent in it's messaging. The problem is that Barrera might have just taken his own suggestion a little bit too literal.
Just how consistent is Barrera's messaging in this particular article? You be the judge. After running his article through the Laredotejas high-tech document analyzer, we discovered the following: The term brand or branding appears a total of 20 times. The term business is used even more consistently, appearing a total of 26 times. Also, the terms name and/or logo combine to show up a total of 27 times. Talk about consistent messaging.
I think Barrera does make a lot of valid points and no doubt includes some very good suggestions. However, in my humble opinion, the high incidence of repeated words and phrases does interfere with the overall fluidity of the article to a substantial degree. I guess sometimes there's a price to pay for consistent messaging.
