Signs of transparency continue at LISD
The good news is that no one had to loose their job to send a message that electioneering will not be condoned at LISD. The Laredo Morning Times reported Tuesday morning that 3 employees were officially reprimanded for different types of behavior constituting electioneering. Interestingly, 2 of the 3 employees were what can be called "high-level" administrators. Superintendent Marcus Nelson drove home the point that LISD's role is that of educating students and not politics. That being said, taxpayers hope for continued progress in this direction as the "new" board of trustees does feature a lot faces familiar to the politics in Laredo.
