The Dallas Morning News explains that Texas State Comptroller Susan Combs' report rates schools' by comparing students' performance vs the schools' spending per student. Schools were given from 1 to 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best rating. Sadly, one about 4 percent of the states school districts earned a 5 star rating. The rankings were presented by district as well as by campus.
Locally, no LISD schools garnered 5 stars and only 6 campus managed to secure a 4-star rating.
