Salinas to put HEB Plus's roof to the test for good cause

HEB Plus roof will be tested by Mayor Salinas

For the 18th year in a room, Mayor Raul Salinas, fresh off his re-election victory, will spend the next 3 days on the HEB rooftopin order to benefit the elderly. According to Salinas, he will be up there to encourgae people to donate all things that help keep the elderly warm during the cold winter months. This includes blankets, coats, scarves, gloves and mittens. All proceeds will actually be donated to Laredo Organized Volunteers for the Elderly and Disadvantaged (LOVED), a non-profit local organization. LMT reported that salinas is encouraging Laredoans to go out and donate ,"“Warm your heart and help me keep our ancianitos warm at the same time by donating to this very worthy cause" Salinas urged.
